This is my first post!
This is the start of the newest iteration of my personal portfolio website! Primarily intended as a place to write up or display interesting projects, but it will include a scattering of other hobby posts until I decide whether they should have their own home or a subdomain. Built with 11ty and presumably hosted via Netlify. This is a shift from the last several years of hosting on Heroku with a dynamic React/TS portfolio site. I did enjoy learning that stack of technologies but it became too unwieldy to maintain and update with the amount of steps to deploy each time. The goal of 11ty is to be able to get back to as close to one-click Github deploys as possible.
The Idea
Idk this is just a placeholder/template post and site for now. I'm hoping that if I can make this understandable to less tech/programming savvy friends they may also be inclined to start their own personal sites! I love the idea of having an RSS feed of myself and friends posting on blogs and getting back to the original spark that made social media interesting to me. :)
